Accountable Named GP

Under the latest NHS GP contract the Practice is required to allocate a named accountable GP to all of our patients.

The contract requires the named accountable GP to be responsible for the co-ordination of all appropriate services and to ensure they are delivered to each patient when required, however this doesn not mean they will be the only GP who will provide care to that patient.

For each patient your named accountable GP will be the doctor that your records show you are registered with. If you wish to know who your named accountable GP is then please ask when you are next in the surgery.

Having a named GP does not prevent you from seeing any other doctor in the practice. Your named GP will not be available at all times.
